UNITED WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING–PROPOSED DIRECT ASSESSMENT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors of the United Water Conservation District ("District") will hold a public hearing to consider the levy of a proposed direct assessment against certain parcels of real property within the District that have delinquent groundwater account balances.
The proposed assessment is authorized under applicable provisions of California law, including the California Water Code, including Division 21 (Water Conservation District Law), and related statutory authorities governing the levy and collection of charges and assessments by water conservation districts.

Location: United Water Conservation District, 1701 N. Lombard Street, Oxnard, CA 93030
Purpose of the Assessment – The proposed assessment is intended to recover delinquent groundwater charges lawfully owed to the District and to fund authorized District purposes, including groundwater management and operations, as permitted by law.
Affected Parcels – The proposed assessment would apply to certain parcels of real property within the District with delinquent groundwater account balances. A listing of affected parcels and proposed assessment amounts is available for public inspection at the District's offices during normal business hours.
Public Participation – At the public hearing, the Board of Directors will hear and consider all oral and written testimony regarding the proposed assessment. Interested persons may appear and be heard or submit written comments in accordance with Government Code Section 54954.3.
Collection Method – If approved, the assessment may be placed on the Ventura County secured property tax roll, shall constitute a lien against the subject parcels, and shall be collected by the County in the same manner as general property taxes, in accordance with applicable law.
