Unclaimed Property Disposal
In accordance with Louisiana Code of Criminal Procedure 228.3. the Gonzales Police Department will seek approval from the 23rd Judicial District Courts to dispose of unclaimed property that was stolen, seized, or relinquished during the investigation of agency case-file numbers:
2016-012967, 2016-013869, 2017-007634, 2017-010752, 2018-009878
Unless claimed by the owner before Monday, November 17, 2025, the property will be disposed of according to Louisiana Law. The following individuals may have unclaimed property at the Gonzales Police Department:
David Chambers, Floyd Hose, Katrina Griffin, Steven Wade, Dorothy Gray, Devin Day, and relatives of Jose Chavez.
Proof of ownership is required to claim the following list of abandoned items with known/ unknown owners:
2 necklaces, 1 ring, assorted Nike apparel, iPhone 7 screen protector, Lebron soldier shoes, Apple MacBook Pro, Husky screwdriver set, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7 Plus, WD Elements hard drive, iPad, Apple desktop computer, Microsoft keyboard and mice, Billstein shocks and exhausts, Chicago Bulls hat, box of school supplies, school shoes and clothes, 380-cal Bersa Thunder pistol, and a Samsung cell phone.
To claim any of the listed property, the named persons may contact the Gonzales Police Department at 225 647-9571 on Monday through Thursday 8:00am to 4pm.
