Pipeline, this powerful and timely drama by acclaimed playwright Dominique Morisseau comes to the University of Louisville for a limited run in February.
Set against the backdrop of America’s education and criminal justice systems, Pipeline follows Nya, a dedicated public school teacher and single mother, and Omari, her son. When a heated incident threatens to derail Omari’s future, Nya must confront painful questions about race, class, power, and what it truly means to protect the people we love. The play challenges audiences to consider how schools can become conduits to opportunity—or pipelines to incarceration—and what it takes to interrupt that cycle.
Performances of Pipeline will take place at the Thrust Theatre (2314 S. Floyd St) Feb. 20th, 21st, 27th, 28th @7:30pm, Feb. 22nd, Mar. 1st @2:00pm. Tickets are $10 for Students, $15 for Alum, Seniors, and UofL Faculty/Staff, and $20 for General Admission and are available at Louisville.edu/TheatreArts or at the Box-Office at 2314 S. Floyd St.
