
Urban Water Management Plan and Water Shortage Contingency Plan - 2025 Update
As a defined urban water supplier, Alco Water Service (Alco) is preparing an update to its Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) and Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP) that will address the water service conditions in our service area. These documents support a water supplier's long-term resource planning to ensure that adequate water supplies are available to meet existing and future water demands under defined conditions. It is Alco's intent to adopt the UWMP, and the incorporated WSCP, and file the plans as required with the California Department of Water Resources, the California State Library, the City of Salinas, and Monterey County no later than 30 days after adoption.
Schedule for upcoming actions:
After a public review period, a public meeting to receive comments on the Draft UWMP and WSCP will be held on May 28th at 11:30 AM. The electronic copy of the UWMP, WSCP, and information on the public meeting, including a link to participate, will be available at the following internet address:
