FY 2026 ANNUAL DISTRICT
MEETING and ELECTION
The Annual District Meeting and Election of Officers of the West Barnstable Fire District will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at the West Barnstable Community Building, 2377Meetinghouse Way (Route 149), corner of Lombard Avenue, West Barnstable, MA. The Election Meeting will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM. The Annual Meeting will follow immediately after the closing of the election meeting. The election meeting is part of the Annual Fire District meeting and there will be no nominations from the floor or absentee ballots. Nomination papers will be available at the West Barnstable Fire Station starting Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Elections will be held for a Prudential Committee member for a three-year term and a Water Commissioner for a three-year term.
Any registered voter of the West Barnstable Fire District is eligible to run for elected office and thirty (30) valid signatures of registered voters in the Fire District are required for nomination. Nomination papers must be submitted to the Barnstable Town Clerk for voter certification on or before 4:30 PM on Monday, February 23, 2026 and returned to the Clerk of the West Barnstable Fire District, at Fire Station Headquarters, 2160 Meetinghouse Way, West Barnstable, no later than 6:00 PM on Monday, March 9, 2026.
