WEST MILFORD ZONING BOARD NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., in the main meeting room of the Town Hall, located at 1480 Union Valley Road, West Milford, NJ 07480, the Zoning Board of Adjustment of the Township of West Milford ("Board") will hold a public hearing at which Hugh Malley ("Applicant") will request bulk variances for side yard setback where 10 feet is required and 1.2 feet is proposed, for 4% lot coverage where 3% is required, and a use variance for an accessory structure on a lot where no principal structure exists and possibly considered as a variance for the expansion of a non-conforming use of existing accessory structures without a principal home or structure. The applicant will request any additional variances that the Board may require for this application.
The subject of the application is a pavilion or gazebo along with a patio of pavers that has been located on .26 acres of vacant property located in the Hewitt section of West Milford, New Jersey 07421 and designated on the West Milford Tax Maps as Block 3406, Lot 13 ("Property"). This property is located in the Lake Residential zone. The pavilion/patio is located at the rear of the property which has frontage on Greenwood Lake. The front of the property is on Old Lakeside Road which separates the property from Block 3406 Lot 19, where the applicant lives and which has the address of 55 Old Lakeside Road South, Hewitt, NJ. Lot 13 services Lot 19 in providing lake access.
At the hearing, all interested parties will be given the opportunity to be heard. You may appear either in person, by agent, or by attorney and present any objections or comments that you may have to the Application.
Information, if any, will be available for inspection by the public Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., in the Planning Department office in the Town Hall, located at 1480 Union Valley Road, West Milford, NJ 07480.
