WRIGHTSTOWN MUNICIPAL UTILITIES AUTHORITY
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
APPOINTMENTS WITHOUT BIDS
WHEREAS, the Wrightstown Municipal Utilities Authority (WMUA) has
determined there exist a need and there are funds available for the services of a Solicitor, Auditor, Engineer, Financial Advisor and Consulting Service related to funding; and,
WHEREAS, the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5, states that a contract, the subject matter of which consists of professional services, may be awarded without competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, the WMUA believes that the aforementioned services constitute professional services; and
WHEREAS; The WMUA believes that certain individuals possess the necessary qualifications to perform the services of the aforementioned professionals; and
WHEREAS, the Local Pubic Contracts Law (N.J.S.A.40A:11-1 et seq.) requires that the resolution authorizing the award for "Professional Services" without competitive bids must be publicly advertised.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Wrightstown Municipal Utilities Authority of the Borough of Wrightstown, in the County of Burlington, and State of New Jersey, as follows:
That the WMUA hereby declares that the aforementioned services are professional services because (1) these services being performed by persons authorized by law to practice their recognized professions and it is not possible to obtain competitive bids or (2) because the nature of the work to be performed and the qualitative judgments required in determining the degree and sufficiency of the services do not render themselves to the preparation of specifications for competitive bidding.
That the WMUA for the aforementioned reasons hereby declares that the following individuals possess the necessary qualifications to render the aforementioned professional services and hereby awards a contract to said individual for the aforesaid purposes for a period of time indicated herein:

The term of one year to begin February 28, 2026, and end immediately before the next annual Reorganization Meeting.
That the appropriate persons are hereby authorized and directed to
execute an appropriate contract with the aforementioned persons.
A Notice of this resolution shall be printed once in the Burlington County Times, as the primary official newspaper of the WMUA, as required by law.
