Willow Creek Preserve
Willow Creek Preserve proposes to continue treatment on approximately 37 acres of wetland for selective control of invasive species. Treatments will occur throughout the 2026 growing season. Targe species will include (but not be limited to): Phragmites, buckthorn, honeysuckle, purple loosestrife, yellow iris, garlic mustard, Japanese knotweed, lily-of-the-valley, and black locust. Warning signs will be posted along trails and all individual properties adjacent to treatment areas. The applicant will conduct a public informational meeting in a location near the water body when a combination of 5 or more individuals, organizations, special units of government, or local units of government request the meeting in writing to the applicant with a copy to the department within 5 days after the notice is made. The person or entity requesting the meeting shall state a specific agenda of topics including problems and alternatives to be discussed.
