LEGAL NOTICE
TAKE NOTICE THAT John R. Holsten has appealed to the Board of Adjustment of the Township of Berkeley Heights for a variance from the provisions of Article 6.1, Section 6.1.1B, as well as Article 11.1, Section 11.3.D, of the Zoning Ordinance so as to permit the construction of additions to the existing single-family dwelling consisting of new attached two-car garage, new covered front porch, new second story over the existing structure, conversion of screen porch to living space, interior renovations, modified driveway and a new paver sidewalk. Variances are needed for insufficient combined side-yard setback and one side-yard setback. In addition, the proposed driveway would exceed the maximum permitted width of 18 feet.
This project pertains to the premises located at 75 Apple Tree Row and also known as Block 2901, Lot 1.12, on the Berkeley Heights Tax Map, which is within 200 feet of property owned by you.
The applicant requests any and all such other variances, design waivers, site planexceptions and/or other relief from the Board of Adjustment as may be deemed necessary or required at the time of the hearing of this matter.
This appeal is now on the Secretary's calendar, and a public hearing has been ordered for Thursday evening, November 13, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. prevailing time, in the public meeting room of the Municipal Building (Room 155, the "Berkeley Room"), 29 Park Avenue, Berkeley Heights, NJ at which time you may appear either in person or by attorney and present any objection which you may have to the granting of this appeal.
