TAKE NOTICE that on the 17th day of June, 2026 at 7:00 P.M., a hearing will be held before the Township of Ocean, Zoning Board of Adjustment at the at the Municipal Building in the Public Meeting Room, Deal and Monmouth Roads, Oakhurst, New Jersey on the appeal of the Zoning Officer, interpretation of the zoning map or construction of zoning ordinance(s) or application of the undersigned for a variance or other relief so as to permit the applicant to construct a 2 story addition, a second story addition, a covered front porch, and widen the driveway to the existing dwelling.
The Following variances have been applied for: 1. Sect. 21-28.2a1(d) Minimum front yard setback – 30' required, 27.2' to
dwelling exists, 20.9' to covered front porch and 25.21' to 2 story addition proposed. A variance is required. 2. Sect. 21-28.2a1(i) Maximum building coverage – 25% of the total lot (or 1875 sq. ft.) permitted, 27% (or 202t5 sq. ft.) proposed. A variance is required. 3. Sect. 21-45.12(a) Driveway width – Maximum driveway width of 20' is required, a driveway width of 27.67' is proposed. A variance is required.
On the premises located at 1118 Darlene Avenue Ocean, NJ 07712 and designated as Block:138.03, Lot: 26 on the Official Tax Map of the Township of Ocean. In addition, the applicant(s) seek any and all variance, waivers and/or related relief which may be necessary to approve the application that is proposed. A copy of the application and all pertinent maps, drawings and documents have been filed with the
Board Secretary and may be inspected at the Municipal Building in the Community Development Department during regular business hours, Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. All persons wishing to be heard with regard to said application may appear at the time and place set forth above, and they will be given an opportunity to be heard in accordance with the rules of the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
