Notice is hereby given that the Berlin Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on July 8, 2026 at 7:00 PM. At this time, the hearing is expected to be held virtually via ZOOM webinar. The petitioner is appealing a determination of the Berlin Building Commissioner in his letter dated April 27, 2026 to Michael J. Larkin, Jr. Esq. stating that the petitioner's proposed use at 225
West Street, Berlin, Massachusetts is a contractor yard as defined in ARICLE 14: DEFINITIONS of the Berlin Zoning By-law. The property is in the Commercial Village zoning district; and, according to ARTICLE 3: USE REGULATIONS, Section 320 TABLE OF PRINCIPAL USE REGULATIONS, a contractor yard is not allowed in a Commercial Village district. The applicant seeks relief under Chapter 40A, Section 8 Appeals to Permit Granting Authority of the Massachusetts General Laws.
